About Me

I am currently in my second year studying at Leeds Beckett University. During my time at University I believe that my coaching has changed as I am now more aware of my players needs and their development. I have learnt about both the physical and mental needs of my players and how to use a variety of coaching behaviours when I am coaching. From using these coaching behaviour it helps me to deliever my sessions effectively, give feedback and keep my participants engaged.

Coaching outside of University

Outside of University I coach Football for a company that is based in Leeds and have been working there for nearly 2 years. We work with children with the ages from 3-14 looking at Ball Mastery, 1v1 and Small sided games. From doing this it allows the players to have more practice time and have more repetition. This role involves me running evening session, Saturday morning sessions, running sessions in various schools and running school holiday camps. From doing this job it has allowed me to gain experience in coaching and Football and work with other coaches. This job has allowed me to visit Manchester City training ground where I helped a player get into their academy after training with me for a year.

Alongside my main Coaching job I also work for Guiseley football club with my brother running the school holiday camps and the girls only football camps. We often work alongside alongside Wembley Trust to provide free day girls only football camp to be give girls the opportunity to play football and have fun.

Hobbies and Interests

Other than coaching I used to play Football but due to injury it has meant that I am now unable to play but during my football I have played for my local team- Ossett United, West Riding County and North Yorkshire Centre of Excellence. I have played football from the age of 4 and often played in the garden with my brothers and my dad.

As well as football I play Golf in the summer at weekends and weekday evenings, where my handicap is now 16 but that was last done 4 years ago. I have played in competitions involved with my golf club where i have been a member for 8 years. I also take part in golf days for Guiseley Community Football foundation where i also work with my brother from time to time. I often play with my brother and my dad and play on holiday when we go on holiday to Portugal.

I also like to watch Leeds United when I can as i used to be a season ticket holder for over 10 years where I used to go with my family but since my brother plays Semi-Professional football I enjoy watching him play with my dad.
